Swan Lands 2008 Photography Contest
Over 400 excellent photos were submitted and selecting the winning images required a thorough process utilizing two panels of judges. Images were judged on artistic merit, composition and technical merit, originality, and overall impact.
The purpose of the Swan Lands 2008 Photography Contest was to gather images of local people, activities, and places, as well as the wildlife and forest resources that characterize in the Swan Valley. Submitted images may be used to support ongoing efforts to conserve land and its resources, while maintaining the forest-based economies and rural lifestyles of the Swan Valley. Hosted by Northwest Connections, this contest supports the collaborative work being done by diverse interests to maintain the rural and wild character of the valley. The contest categories were established as representing important elements of living, working, and recreating in the Swan Valley area.
Winning photos are on display at Swan Ecosystem Center in Condon.
